Adriana Martínez Piedrahita

Lawyer from Externado University, with a specialization in Labor and Social Security Law from Javeriana University. She has been an arbitrator in labor matters and is on the list of arbitrators of the Supreme Court of Justice. She is a lecturer on labor matters and advises several national and foreign investment companies on the subject, in individual and collective labor law. She has extensive knowledge in negotiation processes. She attended a corporate governance seminar at Yale University’s School of Management. She has participated as a Delegate in the International Labor Conference in Geneva (Switzerland).

With 20 years of professional experience in the labor and social security law area, she has participated in collective bargaining negotiations, company structuring from the labor point of view, labor audits, due diligence, requirements of public entities, advice on pension and parafiscal matters, advises national and foreign companies on labor, social security and immigration matters and represents clients in labor litigation matters. Her Master’s studies in Development Policies for Latin America from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and the one in International Relations from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, together with the postgraduate studies in administrative law, allow her to complement his legal training and broaden his professional profile in the disciplinary areas of political science and international relations.

Among the positions held by Mrs Dangond – Gibsone are those of substantiator of the Constitutional Court, advisor to the National Constituent Assembly, Advisor to the Ministry of Agriculture, Advisor to the Ministry of Economic Development, Director of Foreign Investment of the Ministry of Foreign Trade, among others.

She has worked successfully as a consultant, litigator, researcher and lecturer in the field of public law (constitutional, administrative and international law). Her works have been published in various media; sometimes turned into opinion articles for written media (national and international) and television through comments; others, in academic media such as book chapters, specialized academic magazines editions, among others.
